On March 8, 2024, the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) proudly celebrated International Women's Day under the theme "Inspire inclusion." This significant event aimed to recognize and empower women in the finance sector while promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry.
The celebration featured a lineup of inspiring speakers who covered essential topics relevant to women's advancement in life. Mrs. Kelline Kondowe, Chief Operating Officer of the MSE, imparted knowledge on financial planning, equipping attendees with essential skills for securing their financial futures and achieving economic independence. Mrs. Memory Chipembere, Company Secretary and Compliance Manager at NICO Asset Managers, delved into negotiation skills, empowering women to assert themselves confidently in professional settings. Mrs. Patricia Mwase delivered a presentation offering guidance on initiating a business endeavour, and lastly, Ms. Mwaiwathu Wirima, founder of the Art of Wellness, shed light on mental health awareness, emphasizing the importance of self-care and well-being amidst the pressures in life.
This event was made possible through collaboration with the CFA Society, South Africa, highlighting the MSE's commitment to fostering partnerships and leveraging resources to support women's advancement in finance.
