Overview of the Stock Market - Webinar

The Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) hosted an insightful
Investor Webinar titled “Overview of the Stock Market”,
facilitated by Mr. Dougals Nyirenda, Senior Operations and
Compliance Officer at MSE on 31 July 2025.

The session attracted a strong turnout from online participants,
reflecting the public’s growing interest and eagerness to
engage with Malawi’s capital markets.
The webinar aimed to demystify stock market operations and promote
inclusive financial literacy.

Mr. Nyirenda delivered a comprehensive presentation covering:
• The functions and roles of the Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE)
• The process of buying and selling shares
• The benefits of investing in shares.
• Other related topics relevant to market participation

Following the presentation, a Q&A session provided participants with an
opportunity to seek clarification, share perspectives, and deepen their
understanding of market participation.
