MSE AT THE 35TH MALAWI INTERNATIONAL TRADE FAIR

The Malawi Stock Exchange (MSE) took part in the 35th Malawi International
Trade Fair under the theme “Promoting Economic Transformation through
Private Sector-Led Industrialization.”
During the course of the event, the MSE pavilion served as a dynamic platform
for investment education, awareness on our upcoming mobile trading app and
the promotion of our “Invest in You” campaign. Visitors engaged with our team
to learn about shares, bonds and how to participate in the capital markets.
Educational materials and digital content were shared to make learning both
informative and accessible.
We were also pleased to have Cedar Capital Limited, one of our licensed
brokers, join us at the pavilion. During their participation, brokerage accounts
were opened on-site and several additional applications were collected from
potential investors.

One of the most inspiring moments came from Jonathan Kasanda, a learner
from Namalimwe Primary School. Jonathan visited the MSE stand at the
2024 Trade Fair, where MSE officials held a session for his class. A year later,
when asked to share what he had learned, Jonathan confidently remembered
the lessons on investing in shares and passionately passed on that knowledge
to his classmates, encouraging them to save and invest. His story is a
powerful reminder of the lasting impact of early financial education and why
the MSE remains committed to its mission of making investment knowledge
accessible to all.
We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who visited our stand and
contributed to a successful experience. Together, we are building a financially
empowered Malawi, where individuals, SMEs and industries thrive through
capital markets.
